electricity, fuse boxes, and me

Ever notice how electricians seem to know all about fuse boxes, but home owners are clueless. I think they purposely do not label the fuses so we have to call them for help. Picket Fence has found an answer for only $8.95, and $8.95 is a lot less than calling an electrician. They have Circuit Breaker Identifiers that only require an hour on a Sunday afternoon. Yes, you will still have to spend an hour figuring out which circuit go with what, but think of the savings next time you have a power failure.  And while we are talking of power failures, check out their pwer failure lights so you don’t fall going down the basement stairs.

These are a great idea. Now if only someone could come up with a way to keep my circuit breaker box from being stuck closed!

Stuck closed? Doesn’t it have one of those funny little handles that are impossible to open? Why do they make those anyway?
